Loops Within Loops
Knitting has a way of revealing how connected everything really is. Every loop relies on another; every story, too.
When I began working as a knitting technical editor, I stepped into a community that was generous, skilled, and endlessly curious. That’s where I met Jen Street, and together with others in the Cool Wool Community we created The Cool Wool Curated Collection — a magazine born from shared enthusiasm. Jen’s first design appeared there; now her work is featured in a publication that Claire (yes that Claire) contributes to.
The circle widens.
None of us planned it. We were simply doing the work we loved, and somehow the threads crossed again.
It makes me think about how creativity travels — how inspiration passes quietly from one pair of hands to another. It’s what I see in my classes, too: someone discovering rhythm, patience, pride.
That’s partly why I’ve been developing a little project for people who haven’t started yet — a reflective journal to help build creative confidence before the first stitch. It’s coming soon, born from the same belief that small beginnings matter.
